Columbia College Leadership Award

Description and Requirements:The Leadership Award targets new freshmen at Columbia College who have demonstrated leadership in high school and/or community activities. Although it isn't limited to Eagle Scouts, they do receive strong consideration. The award is renewable for three additional years provided the recipient participates in leadership development activities, including involvement in a minimum of two campus organizations.

Dofflemyer Scholarship

Awarding Agency:Stanford University, Stanford, Calif.
Description and Requirements:Stanford University awards scholarships based on a family's demonstrated need, not on merit. Students initially receive financial aid from a general scholarship fund. However, funding is sometimes drawn from named funds like the Dofflemyer Scholarship, which gives preference to Eagle Scouts. Therefore, applicants who are Eagle Scouts need only follow the university's standard application process to demonstrate eligibility.

Gold Award/Eagle Scout Scholarship

Description and Requirements:Recipients of the Eagle Scout Award and the Gold Award in Girl Scouting are eligible for this one-time award of $1,000 ($500 per semester). Lindenwood University Scouting Scholarships

Description and Requirements:This need-based scholarship covers up to half of tuition. Applicant must be a new, full-time freshman with a minimum ACT score of 24, a minimum cumulative high-school GPA of 3.00, and acceptance for admission to Lindsey Wilson College. Description and Requirements:This scholarship is presented annually by the Zenon C. R. Hansen Foundation to a full-time Doane College student who is an Eagle Scout, who is active in the Boy Scouts of America, and who plans to remain active in Scouting and leadership activities.
